OTTAWA, ON: December 13,
2012 – Corporate

staff has raised over $500 for the Ottawa Humane Society.
But this was no ordinary
office fundraiser. In order to promote giving to the Humane Society, the CRG
social committee hosted a silent auction where various staff members donated
their time and services in return for bids. Items up for auction included a
week of car-cleaning (perfect for this snowy time of year), on-call coffee
runs, Holiday baking, and a member of the Senior Management Team even offered
to let the highest bidder slam a pie into his face.
“Getting a pie in your
face is an interesting sensation but it was worth it - a very fun event and for
a great cause,” said John Smith, Director of Enterprise Business Solutions for emPerform and CRG. “It was great to watch colleagues from every
department battle to outbid one-another and we are thrilled that the Ottawa
Humane Society is able to benefit from this.”
“We were very happy to
receive word that they [CRG] went to such creative lengths to raise money for
the OHS,” said Eileen Barak, Director of Outreach for the Ottawa Humane
Society. “It is always great to see companies coming together for a good cause
and it is even better when they have a great time doing it.”
